Posted June 15, 2019 09:12:30The verdict in the O.J. Simpson trial is coming in.
And while it has come and gone, we’re still waiting to hear about the next big event.
We know the jury is still out on whether OJ and Nicole Brown Simpson are guilty, and the trial is expected to go on until mid-July, but what about the real news that will be out in the coming weeks?
The verdict is a long way from being in, and in the meantime, the verdict is coming.
The jury of seven men and five women is deliberating on the matter of whether Nicole Brown and Ron Goldman, two of the three defendants in the Simpson case, were guilty of killing her ex-boyfriend, Johnnie Cochran.
In a statement released to the media on Monday, Simpson’s lawyers, Lisa Bloom and Johnnie Brown, both said the verdict will be delivered to the jury in a matter of days.
“As the verdict has been read and the verdict was delivered, we have received word that the court will hold a formal announcement about the verdict at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2019,” Bloom and Brown said.
As for whether the court is actually announcing the verdict, they added: “It is not yet known whether the Court will announce the verdict or not.”
What does that mean for you?
It means the trial has ended, but we still have a lot of questions about it, including whether the verdicts were unanimous, and whether the guilty verdicts are final.
So far, there’s been no indication that either of those scenarios are true.
What does that means for you, and how you can get involved in the debate?
