That’s right! You’ll have to sweat a little to maintain your weight! Several studies such as the National Weight Control Registry have shown that those who manage to keep the weight off have adopted the regular exercise strategy.
Dr. Lau recommends that women exercise at least 30 minutes a day, mixing aerobic movements with resistance exercises (isometric and weight exercises). “Do activities that you enjoy. Gardening can become as toning an activity as gymnastics.” And, whenever you feel ready for a bigger challenge, increase the intensity and duration of your exercises a bit.
